On the night of October 6, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck several occupation forces' facilities: the Sverdlov Plant, the facilities of the Marine Oil Terminal JSC in Feodosia, and an ammunition depot of the Russian Federation's 18th Combined Arms Army. According to the General Staff , explosions and large fires were recorded at the scene; the impact of the strikes on the ammunition depot is being determined.
Defense Force units were operating as part of measures to reduce the enemy's offensive potential and its capabilities for missile and bomb strikes. The General Staff reported that the site of the Ya. M. Sverdlov Plant, a federal state-owned enterprise, was hit. It is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of explosives and is capable of manufacturing aircraft and artillery shells, aerial bombs (including guided ones), warheads for shaped-charge anti-tank missiles, ammunition for engineering troops, and warheads for anti-aircraft missile systems. The plant also participates in a cooperative effort to manufacture warheads for standardized interservice glide munitions. Multiple explosions and a fire were recorded in the target area.
Additionally, damage was reported to the facilities of the Marine Oil Terminal JSC in Feodosia (temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea)—a multifunctional technological complex for the transshipment of oil and petroleum products between railway tank cars, sea vessels, and vehicles used to supply the Russian occupation army. Following the impact, a major fire broke out on the premises.
Hits were also recorded on an ammunition depot belonging to a separate logistics battalion of the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea; the General Staff is verifying the results of the strike.
The Defense Forces continue to take measures aimed at undermining the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and forcing the Russian Federation to cease armed aggression against Ukraine.
