On the night of October 10, Kyiv was subjected to a large-scale combined attack by drones and missiles. Residential buildings in several districts of the city were damaged, and there were casualties.
This was announced by the head of the Kyiv MVA , Timur Tkachenko , and the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko .
Shrapnel from downed Russian drones fell in several areas of the capital, including in the Podolsk district, in the courtyard of a residential building.
A fire broke out on the sixth and seventh floors of a 17-story building in the Pechersky district. Apartments were damaged, and residents were evacuated. As of this morning, nine people were reported injured, five of whom were hospitalized. Rescuers rescued two dozen people during the cleanup, and the fire was extinguished.
In the Goloseevsky district, the facades of two residential buildings and two cars were damaged. In the Desnyansky district, debris from a downed aerial target fell on the grounds of a clinic, but no fire occurred.
Due to the shelling, power and water supply disruptions were reported in the capital, especially on the left bank. Air defenses continued throughout the night as attacks continued in multiple waves.
Also in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, a fire broke out in a private home and a minimarket building after a drone attack.
