Microsoft is adding a Light Switch feature to the October PowerToys 0.95 update , which will allow you to automatically switch between light and dark themes in Windows 11.
Light Switch is a new utility that will switch the theme of your computer. The system will be able to automatically detect sunrise and sunset based on the user’s location to set the appropriate mode.
Additionally, users can now set the hours when the light or dark theme will be activated. Microsoft has also added the ability to assign a simple keyboard shortcut to quickly switch between modes.
This isn’t the first update aimed at improving the dark theme in Windows 11. Microsoft has previously added several useful changes , extending its support to new system dialogs and windows.
