Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is concluding his visit to North Korea, during which he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and signed a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries. The talks in Pyongyang were preceded by a visit to Minsk by Trump's special envoy, John Cole, which marked a sharp warming of relations with the United States. Belarusian diplomacy has also intensified in Europe. After years of diplomatic isolation, the Belarusian leader is pursuing a multi-vector policy of relations with the East and the West, balancing between global power centers.
