Russian citizens will be able to obtain US visas only in Warsaw and Astana

The US State Department introduced new rules for issuing non-immigrant visas for citizens of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine on September 6. This was reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to the US State Department.

Citizens of countries where the United States does not issue non-immigrant visas must apply for them at designated embassies or consulates. These countries include Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.

Now Russian citizens can only obtain an American visa at the US embassies in Warsaw (Poland) and Astana (Kazakhstan). Citizens of Belarus can apply for documents in Warsaw and Vilnius (Lithuania), Ukrainians – in Warsaw and Krakow (Poland). Previously scheduled interviews in other cities remain in effect, but consular fees paid for cancelled applications are not refundable or rescheduled.

The rules do not apply to visas of categories A, G, C-2, C-3, NATO, diplomatic and official permits. In exceptional cases – humanitarian crises, medical indications or foreign policy reasons – individual solutions are possible.
