Today, October 13, a Ukrainian delegation departed for Washington. The visit is focused on strengthening defense cooperation, Ukraine's energy resilience ahead of the winter, and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia.

This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine , Andriy Yermak .

"Our delegation, led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, along with National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, is heading to Washington. It will be a busy week, with much work ahead," Yermak wrote.

On the agenda are the goals announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy:

  • defense: strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and strike capabilities;
  • Energy: Strengthening resilience before winter;
  • Sanctions: new pressure on the aggressor.

As Yermak noted, the ultimate goal remains unchanged: a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine by forcing Russia to end the war.
