Karaganda schoolchildren won five prizes at the Republican Olympiad “Abaytanu”

Nine students from the Karaganda region participated in the VI Republican Olympiad in Kazakh language and literature “Abaitanu” among students of grades 9–11 with Kazakh language of instruction, five of them took prizes, reports the akimat of the Karaganda region .

The first was the tenth grader of school No. 61 Nurgasyr Izat.

And four more third places were won by students of the same school – Abylay Duysen, Alina Nauryzbaeva, Sezim Sayat and Aksharkhat Eshkulova.

– The “Abaytanu” Olympiad was held in two stages. The task of the first round was to write an essay on certain topics on the legacy of the great Abai, and the second – to analyze any work of the great thinker. Since this is an Olympiad, there were, of course, questions related to syntactic and morphological analysis. About a hundred participants from all over the country gathered for the competition,” said Nurgasyr Izat.

Intellectual competitions were held on the basis of the Republican specialized boarding school for gifted children named after Abay in Almaty.
