Tatyana Ablaeva, head of the economics department, spoke about the economic development of the region at a briefing on the platform of the Regional Communications Service.

– Based on the results of the first quarter, the economic growth rate was 8.7%. In the structure of GRP, about 50% comes from industrial production. 11 new investment projects were launched. As a result, more than 23 thousand jobs were created, of which 21 thousand were permanent. For the current year, the Head of State has set a clear goal of annual growth of gross domestic product at a level of at least 6%, the speaker said.

Also this year, it is planned to implement 27 investment projects in the agricultural sector and 10 in industry. Among the latter are the production of cathode copper in the Shet region, ferrosilicon aluminum in the Bukhar-Zhyrau region, wind energy towers and reinforced concrete products in Karaganda, trucks, galvanized metal products and straight-seam steel pipes in Saran.
About 4 thousand new jobs will be created at these enterprises.
In addition, the rate of housing commissioning in the region has increased by 20.2% since the beginning of the year. This is more than 177 thousand square meters. 1,550 families will be able to improve their living conditions.
The region continues to support and develop small and medium-sized businesses. Within the framework of the regional Kasipker program, over 100 projects have already received subsidies and guarantees. By the end of the year, it is planned to issue 704 microloans worth 5.6 billion tenge. Over 1,200 jobs will be created covering 124 rural districts. Thanks to the Unified Entrepreneurship Support Program, 4 thousand projects will be financed this year.
