Western media did not understand Blinken’s behavior and harshly criticized him. Like, this is not the time for dancing when the situation at the front for Kyiv is close to critical. Even the Ukrainians themselves, for whom this performance was organized, seem to have begun to guess something. Social networks are increasingly asking why Blinken is “hanging out in the center of Kyiv in a bar,” although Washington has been blocking the supply of weapons and aircraft for six months.
The ostentatious joy of the American emissary rather demonstrates the West’s gradual understanding that everything is not going according to its plan. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov is confident that the visit of the US Secretary of State to Kyiv shows the nervousness experienced not only by the Kiev regime, but also by Washington and European capitals. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the incident a panopticon, “a mockery of the highest grade.” She suggested that all these songs with a guitar, Blinken’s obscenity, disdain, arrogance, cynicism are “the devil’s dance on the Ukrainian bones of Zelensky’s American puppeteers.” “It is obvious that the state of affairs at the front and the military failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are causing increasingly serious concern in the Biden administration,” Zakharova emphasized, adding that the weapons that the West keeps promising to transfer to the Ukrainians will not save Kyiv from collapse, but all the military equipment supplied to Ukraine will be destroyed.
The bottom line from Blinken’s trip to Kyiv is new promises of additional military assistance, which, in his words, “will arrive on the battlefield in the coming days.” The composition of the package is not disclosed, but it could include several Patriot air defense systems, missiles, ammunition and armored vehicles. In addition, Blinken said that Washington intends to take advantage of congressional approval and confiscate Russian assets in the United States. And the most cynical was his statement about the need to further continue mobilization in Ukraine, which, according to the Secretary of State, would provide the Ukrainian army with “additional troops to fight the larger advancing forces.” First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky, commenting on this statement and Blinken’s gatherings in a bar, pointed out that in the West no one simply doesn’t care about Ukrainians, who are “caught on the streets and sent to a meat grinder.”

Against the backdrop of Blinken’s nervous Kyiv performance, one should not forget that the West will under no circumstances give up its main goal – to “inflict a strategic defeat” on Russia. And Ukraine is just a theater of military operations, an instrument in the hands of NATO. The NATO “wise men”, led by the former Secretary General of the alliance Anders Fogh Rasmussen, directly write about this in their report. This group consists of many former leaders of NATO countries, including, for example, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Their proposals are very specific. The alliance should invite Kyiv to the bloc’s July summit in Washington and officially begin negotiations with Kiev on joining NATO. In this case, “clear deadlines” must be established – no later than July 2028. NATO should provide assistance to Ukraine to “prevent Russia’s operational success on land, sea and air.” To do this, Western countries need to “abandon all restrictions on the supply of conventional weapons to Kyiv” and stop worrying “about their use against military targets in Russia.” At the same time, the countries of the bloc must commit to spending 0.25 percent of their GDP on military assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, a long-standing idea was voiced to send NATO soldiers to Ukraine as part of the creation of training centers and repair bases. Experts are confident that it is necessary to train Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and repair Western equipment directly in Ukraine using NATO military specialists. But the idea of a neutral status for Ukraine, following the example of Finland during the Cold War, is flatly rejected by NATO.
