The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine examined all problematic issues related to the organization of combat operations on site, and also made a number of decisions.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi conducted work in the Defense Forces units in the Sumy region due to the activation of Russians in this direction. He reported this on Facebook on Thursday, March 27.

"Due to the increase in the intensity of enemy actions and the enemy's attempts to displace and transfer hostilities to the territory of Sumy region, I worked in the Sumy region in the brigades of the DShV, marines, territorial defense, mechanized and some other units," he wrote.

According to Syrsky, here, in the operational zone of the Kursk group of forces, Ukrainian soldiers continue to conduct a defensive operation to prevent the enemy from breaking deep into the territory of Ukraine. With the same goal, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carrying out counterattacks.

During his work, Syrsky studied all the problematic issues related to the organization of combat operations, and also made decisions about replenishing ammunition, drones, and moving reserves.

According to him, in the seven and a half months since the start of the Kursk operation, the total losses of the Russians amounted to more than 55 thousand people. Of these, more than 22.2 thousand were irretrievable, more than 31.8 thousand were medical, and more than 940 were prisoners of war.

"My respect to the soldiers on the Kursk front for their effectiveness and resilience. Thanks to you, we are maintaining a "sanitary zone" on the territory of the aggressor country, blocking the enemy on the northern border of Sumy region. I am sure that new offensives and new victories are ahead of us," Syrsky noted.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia is preparing a new offensive in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions . The Ukrainian army sees the Russians preparing for a future offensive operation, the head of state noted.
