Xiaomi SU7 received 93.5% in the crashworthiness and safety assessment test

The Chinese electric car Xiaomi SU7 passed the C-NCAP crash test and received the maximum 5 stars for safety, reports CarNewsChina .

The C-NCAP crash and safety assessment test is organized by the China Center for Automotive Technology and Research. During the test, a car's safety is rated on a scale of 0 to 100%, and these percentages are then converted into stars. C-NCAP includes tests for vehicle occupants, vulnerable road users, and safety assistance features.

The electric car scored particularly well in the safety assistance category at 95.25%. In particular, it scored almost maximum points for automatic emergency braking and lighting efficiency. In the vehicle occupant test, the score was 94.31%, and in the vulnerable road user test, it scored 90.42%, which is 13.14% higher than the average score.

Overall, the Xiaomi SU7 scored the maximum 5 stars in C-NCAP with an accuracy rate of 93.5%, which is 8.7% higher than the average result of other cars and is the highest score among cars tested under the 2024 safety standard.
