The United States has submitted an updated draft of the subsoil agreement , which the Verkhovna Rada is to consider and ratify, reported MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak. The agreement is extremely detailed and is no longer a framework memorandum. It covers all types of minerals, including oil, gas, new and existing resources. The funds received for extraction are converted into currency and taken abroad. The agreement provides that the projects will be managed by five people, three of whom will be representatives of the United States, with full veto power. The agreement is indefinite, and changes to it can be made only with the permission of the American side. The United States will also have "first-night rights" for new infrastructure projects in Ukraine and the right to veto the sale of resources to other countries. At the same time, the agreement does not mention any security guarantees for Ukraine. According to the MP, this text requires significant adjustments, and only after they are made can it be considered for ratification.

Zelenskyy spoke about the status of the agreement with the US

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated at a press conference that the American side is changing the terms of the agreement on minerals, and it is too early to talk about its signing . "We must act here with restraint, calmly, look at the agreement, lawyers will study it. There are adequate things – we will support them, if there are questions – find answers," he said. At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is not against the agreement in general, but lawyers need to work on the document.

The "coalition of the willing" summit brought together representatives of 31 countries

A summit of the "coalition of the willing" was held in Paris with the participation of representatives of 31 countries , the leadership of the European Union and NATO. The meeting discussed the prospect of deploying guarantee forces in Ukraine as part of a future peace settlement with the support of the United States. President Zelensky called the summit "motivating", adding that it is a "bad signal for Putin" .

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen named three main topics under consideration : increasing aid to Ukraine, increasing pressure on Russia, and strengthening Europe's own defense capabilities.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has invited a small group of representatives of the "coalition of the willing" countries to come to Ukraine to develop a clear plan based on already prepared proposals for a peacekeeping mission.

Macron announced the appearance of European forces in Ukraine

A European "reassurance force" will appear in Ukraine if a peace agreement is concluded between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron following the summit of the "coalition of the willing". According to him, these "reassurance forces" are still at the planning stage, but they will not be peacekeeping forces. And Russia has no right to dictate what will happen on the territory of Ukraine.
