The head of state announced this during a conversation with journalists at the Saab factory together with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
"Ukraine is open to diplomacy. We support the idea of a ceasefire. But this is possible only when it is not about retreating or transferring our territory to the aggressor. We are not going to give up our land," Zelensky stressed.
The President noted that the current level of pressure on Russian leader Vladimir Putin remains insufficient to force him to sit at the negotiating table.
"The pressure on Russia is still not enough," he noted.
Zelenskyy announced that the EU summit in Brussels, which will take place on October 23, will discuss the issue of using frozen Russian assets, which is extremely important for increasing pressure on the Kremlin.
"A decision needs to be made regarding Russian assets. This is a difficult but critically important issue. I hope that tomorrow there will be a chance to support it. We understand that Russia will do everything to prevent this, because it is in its interest to weaken Ukraine's financing during the war," the head of state said.
The President added that he expects the adoption of the next, 19th package of sanctions by the European Union against Russia, which should further increase economic pressure on the aggressor.
