50% of votes counted in Moldova: who is leading?

To form a single majority, you need to collect 51% of the votes, otherwise you will have to form a coalition.

In Moldova’s parliamentary elections, the ruling pro-European Action and Solidarity party, led by President Maia Sandu, is maintaining its lead after 50% of the votes were counted, according to data from the country’s Central Election Commission.

The pro-Russian bloc is in second place. However, the final results may still change as the counting process continues.

After processing 52.33%, the results are as follows:

  • PAS – 42.62%;
  • pro-Russian Patriotic Bloc – 29.78%;
  • Alternative block – 7.95%.
  • Democracy at Home party – 6.76%;
  • Our party – 6.38%.

Other political forces are currently not overcoming the threshold for entering parliament.

To create a single majority, it is necessary to obtain the support of 51% of the votes, otherwise there will be a need to form a coalition.
