A US congressional delegation led by Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna may pay a return visit to Russia; this matter is being considered, State Duma Deputy Svetlana Zhurova stated in an interview with TASS .
“A similar trip is planned for Luna and her colleagues to come to Moscow or St. Petersburg . This possibility is being explored,” Zhurova announced.
She noted that at this stage the negotiations are proceeding positively.
Earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that State Duma deputies received instructions from Russian leader Vladimir Putin ahead of their visit to the United States . He stated that resuming dialogue between legislators could contribute to the revival of relations between the two countries and is in the interests of both Moscow and Washington .
