The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a church near Donetsk with cassettes during a festive service

According to information from local residents, the shelling of the village began at about ten in the morning – at that time a festive service on the occasion of Palm Sunday was taking place in the church.

As a result of the attack, a woman born in 1952 died. As eyewitness Vladimir explained to the agency, she was the director of a local cemetery and came under fire while walking home.

Unexploded submunitions were later discovered near the temple itself.

“It cannot be explained how you can shoot at a shrine and destroy civilians because they pray to God,” Vladimir noted.

According to the mayor of Donetsk, Alexei Kulemzin, an ambulance was sent to Aleksandrovka, but it did not arrive due to an attack on the vehicle by a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone. As a result of the blow, a paramedic was injured.
